Top 10 | Before & After 2023

Happy New Year! I believe this is in fact the earliest I've ever posted the Top 10 to the journal, so I can actually say that! As well as my favourite before and after post processing images, I also like to use this entry as a little past year overview since I (occasionally!) try to do this at the start of the year.

As I glance back on the past year, I can't help but remember the uncertainties that lingered at the start of 2023. Swansea became the new home for my photography business, prompting numerous questions about its potential growth and the challenges that might lay ahead. While the path didn't exactly unfold as envisioned, I'm grateful for the strides made and for the incredible support from my clients.

Regrettably, my primary goal from the past year still remains unfulfilled. While I've been fortunate to explore and capture some of the breathtaking Welsh landscapes that we are now lucky to have on our doorstep, I'm desperate to photograph more canine models within the stunning countryside. Updating my shooting guide with an array of remarkable photoshoot locations is a priority, not only to offer my clients a wider selection but also to reignite my creative spark.

Reflecting on the past year, I realise I might have spent a fair amount of time merely coasting through the days. A busy schedule and a lack of motivation often hindered me from venturing beyond my comfort zone or turning my creative visions into reality. The upcoming year might pose even greater challenges, demanding a juggling act between my passions and plans. However, I'm determined to embrace this challenge and give it my all!
